Most photographers specialize in one particular type of photography. Some may take pictures of landscapes and others may take pictures of weddings by when they specialize, they tend to have a greater focus on what they’re doing. Belinda Sol is a photographer who takes pictures of mothers and their newborn children. She received a phone call from a woman named Mona who was requesting a photoshoot but she got more than what she bargained for.
When Belinda got back with Mona, it seemed as if she had something else in mind other than taking pictures of her and her baby. The photoshoot was not for a human at all, it was for Mia, her pregnant dachshund. As you are about to see, the pictures are incredibly cute.
“I had never done [a dog shoot] before, and I was excited to do so,” Belinda said. Not only did she take on the challenge, she prepared for it by dressing up Mia and buying some props.
“I went and made her a maternity dress, purchased some props especially for her, and made our appointment,” she said.
When the shoot finally came around, the expected mother was there with a proud husband and soon to be father.
Mia was not only well-trained, but she also behaved perfectly. She was also very pregnant so she wasn’t up to running around all that much.
Belinda thought that she would get a small response when she uploaded the pictures to Facebook. It wasn’t long before thousands of people were sharing the pictures and leaving comments. She then realized that she would have to do a follow-up photoshoot with Mia after the puppies were born.
It wasn’t long before Mia gave birth to six puppies. Belinda showed up again, taking pictures of the entire brood.
She also took things to the next level by having someone crochet caps for each of the puppies. They were created by Crochet Creations by Rebecca Monroe.
The hats looked perfect.
Belinda then took pictures of the puppies in the same way that she takes pictures of human babies. In the end, the puppies ended up with beauty shots.
Just like most of the human babies she photographs, they were taking naps during most of the photoshoot.
I think we would take them all home.
