A YouTube video titled “The Rescue” suddenly went viral after it featured California fireman Cory Kalanick rescuing a kitten named “Lucky” from a burning house. People were happy.
Months later, the video was recut for a GoPro camera ad. This time, the title was “Fireman Saves Kitten.” The video went viral again, but eventually became controversial.
It was learned that the kitten died the day it was rescued, due to lung damage caused by the smoke.
People got mad at GoPro because they felt the company lied to them.
