We often see plenty of examples of animals who want to care for their young. Some of them may be pets, others may be animals in the wild but in either case, they certainly show their heart in the way that they care for their children. That is also the case with Martini, a ginger cat that has a heart as big as the great outdoors.
Ever since Martini gave birth to a litter of four kittens, she hasn’t left their side for a moment. Not only that, you can find her constantly cuddling the babies and it seems as if she is never going to stop.
Introducing Martini the cat.
This ginger cat was being fed by neighbours who saw her as a stray in the neighbourhood. When they noticed her swollen belly, they reached out to the online community so a foster home could be found for Martini and her kittens.
A nonprofit organization that is dedicated to helping animals in need, Whisker Stop, offered a home to the stray cat.
“She is just the best mumma ever! She has head bob and unsteady gait, but even with her issues, she is very loving and sweet.”
“She knows no stranger. She purrs non stop.”
Martini had a litter of 4 adorable and healthy ginger kittens. Since giving birth, she has not left their side.
These are Martini’s 4 kittens, Sky, Gordon, Belvedere and Tanqueray
“She constantly makes biscuits and rolls over for belly rubs . She falls over a lot when walking. I get nervous watching her, grab her after a fall and she is just unfazed.”
“She is the most loving, trusting, affectionate little purr machine.”
Martini and her kittens will be transferred to an area where they can be cared for while Whisker Stop continues to care for other rescues.
She is just under a year old and rather petite. She is also quite happy and has not stopped purring since the birth.
