Did you ever think you were going to do something awesome and it turned out that you had everything wrong? It can be a huge disappointment, leading to perhaps even some irritation or depression as your day continues to go downhill. This happens to everybody at some point or another and obviously, it happens to animals on occasion as well. You are about to see how such a situation changed the demeanor of a dog for a very uncomfortable car ride.
Fritz, the dog, is owned by Bret Mortimer and they have a rather fun daily ritual. Almost every day, Fritz gets taken to the local dog park so he can run around and have some fun. When they jumped in the car recently on a Saturday, Fritz thought that they were headed off to the park and he couldn’t have been happier. It turns out he was wrong.
Mortimer loves Fritz, so when she learned how important it was to take care of the oral health of a dog, she scheduled a checkup to see a veterinary dentist. Like any dog, Fritz’s teeth are important to him so Mortimer considers them a priority.
“I set an appointment to get them cleaned because he’s my best friend and I want him to live as long as he can!” Mortimer told The Dodo. Unfortunately, Fritz didn’t get the memo.
After the dentist was done cleaning Fritz’s teeth, Mortimer came to pick her dog up. He couldn’t hold his feelings and express them openly about the experience. Perhaps Mortimer said it best that he was ‘not thrilled’ when they opened the door.
Throughout the whole ride home, Mortimer was given the cold shoulder by her beloved dog. He wouldn’t make eye contact with her because he was irritated.

“I felt like the cold shoulder was kind of, ‘Hey, I feel a little betrayed over here, Mom,'” Mortimer said.
It wasn’t long after they got home that Fritz was back to his old self again. It seems, however, that he didn’t forget he was betrayed.
When Fritz was taken out to the car on the next day to head to the dog park, he wasn’t quite as excited. He even looked suspiciously at his owner.
