American Pie Slammed By New Generation Of Woke Teens – Here’s Why

If there’s one thing we know about people, it’s the fact that they have an opinion. They have always had an opinion, but these days, it’s possible to share it with the world through social media.

In some ways, this has given birth to a generation of people who feel as if their opinion matters more than others. Of course, that isn’t the most popular opinion among the younger generation, but it does have a ring of truth to it.

This was seen in the way that opinions have changed over the years in regard to entertainment. What may have been perfectly acceptable several decades ago is questioned by those who have strong opinions and post them regularly on Twitter and other social media outlets.

A good example of this is the way teenagers view movies from the 90s. American Pie is one of those movies, and they had some teenagers watch it to see how they reacted.

It’s difficult to believe that American Pie was made in 1999. It is a teenage movie and one of those summer shows where everybody in the movie was trying to get laid before the summer was over.

The five seniors in the movie were trying to achieve that goal by the time they graduated. Many people at that time considered the movie to be the funniest they had ever seen, but people these days seem to have a different opinion.

Vice journalist Rosie Hewittson wanted to see how teenagers would react to some popular teenage movies, including Clueless, American Pie, Dude Where’s My Car, and Others. Those teenagers between the ages of 16 and 19 watched the movies and then gave their opinion.

As you can imagine, many people felt that it was a ridiculous movie and ‘deeply problematic’ on a number of levels. Some said there was no way that they could make the movie these days, and others feel that it would just empower men to feel that they deserve sex.

It certainly did seem as if these woke teenagers had some strong opinions, but looking on social media shows there are other opinions about the movie as well.
