A Bus Driver Sees How A Boy Was Treated On The Bus And Writes Note To Parents That Is Going Viral

Most of us are painfully aware of just how big of a problem bullying is in school these days. If any child is different than the rest or, sometimes for no reason at all, they will be picked on by others. It’s a sad fact of life and although there are things in place to keep it from happening they often fall short of the mark.

As you are about to see, not all children who are different are going to experience the same issue. For one young boy with a disability, some other children came in to make him their friend and they go out of their way to make him feel included. Not only do they sit with him on the bus, they talk to him about his day.

The efforts of those two children did not go unnoticed. The bus driver, Cindy Calusen, saw what was going on and knew she needed to take the next step. She realized that their parents were doing something right so she write them a note, gave it to their children and sent it home.

I am compelled to write to tell you how beautiful your children are, inside and out! This can only come from the home, your patience and guidance, the examples that you set and teach.

I have a child on my bus named Jackson. Both of your children have showed him so much compassion and support. Every day your children ask if they can sit with Jackson.

Some days Jackson is a little sad getting on the bus but as soon as he sees Annaliese and Jorge he smiles. Jackson has difficulties walking and it takes a bit for him to get to his seat.

Today Annaliese looked out from around her seat and said, ‘come on Jackson, you can do it” and when we arrived at school, Jackson took it upon himself to carry out his backpack!

I know you know how wonderful your children are, but I wanted you to know that it shows!

Their parents were thrilled to hear about how their children were acting and they were very proud of their children for applying such a valuable lesson.

This just shows us that children have the ability to act in such a way. Sometimes they just need a little guidance.
