One of the favourite parts of Halloween for most people is going out in a costume and getting candy from the neighbours. Trick-or-treating has become something that most families do and, from time to time, you may just find a little bit more than candy in your bag. Sometimes, your neighbours may be giving out toys or other items but for this family, it was something spectacular.
When Timothy Joe Winn went out with his six-year-old daughter trick-or-treating, they noticed that somebody slipped something into his six-year-old daughter’s bag. She is disabled, and the man said it was for wheelchair maintenance. At first, he thought it was a $10 bill but when they got home, he realised that it was actually $100!
Timothy admits that they live in a rough neighbourhood and it is unusual to hear about random acts of kindness taking place. This act of kindness, however, affected his daughter, who has cerebral palsy. She is unable to move about without a wheelchair.
After the story was shared on Facebook, many users started offering words of praise to the man who did such a good deed.
“Its nice to know there’s still good people out here,” one commenter wrote.
“Wonderful way to help ease someone’s burden,” another post read.
Alyssa’s mother, Rachelle Metcalf, also posted in the comments section.
“The random acts of kindness are amazing,” she wrote. “Pay it forward has always been my way of living life. Glad to see there are others out there that believe this too.”
The Post has gone viral.
