A hero cop saved a baby girl’s life. When the baby grew up and got married, he went to her wedding.
In December 1993, Capt. Joseph Barca of the Yonkers Police Department was still a sergeant. A baby named Shammarah Hamideh was choking and fighting for her dear life.
Barca performed CPR to the baby and immediately brought her to the hospital. Since then, Barca and his wife Helen have not lost contact with the family.
So when Shammarah was aged 20 and decided to get married, Capt. Barca was present.
