Ellen DeGeneres gives a brand new car to a waitress named Sarah Hoidahl. She is Ellen’s favorite waitress.
Hoidahl, a 21-year-old single mom, works at Ruby Tuesday in Concord, New Hampshire.
One day, Sarah served two female uniformed National Guard officers. She learned that they have been furloughed.
Sarah decided to pay for their lunch worth $27.75. The restaurant management posted about it on their Facebook page.
In October 2013, Ellen invited Sarah on her show and gave her $10,000. The following month, Ellen gave her a 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport.
