When you go to the amusement park, do you love to ride the roller coaster? I know that I’ve been on a few but it usually takes a lot of convincing before I climb on board. It seems that, for people in Japan, riding a roller coaster is as close as this bridge.
This is the Eshima Ohashi bridge in Japan. It connects the cities of Matsue and Sakaiminato. The bridge itself is 1.7 km long and 11.2 m wide. From the looks of it, I would imagine there are plenty of people in a panic as they cross. I know I would be counted in among them.
This is the third largest rigid frame bridge in the world
When viewed from a distance it seems impossible to climb
You would think cars would slide down. The steep climb to an amazing height allows large ships to go underneath.
It may look horrifying but the bridge is quite safe. It has more to do with perspective. When viewed from a different angle, it looks like an ordinary bridge with a steep incline. You would still have to talk me into driving it.
