Porter: World’s First Driving Dog

Meet Porter, the world’s first driving dog. Yes, Porter the Dog drives a car. No camera trick. No CGI effect.

For the first time anywhere in the world, a dog is driving a car. Porter, a 10-month-old beardie cross, underwent an 8-week rigid training, and drove the car in a race track in New Zealand.

SPCA Auckland coordinated with car maker Mini Cooper to make this project possible. As you can see in video below, the modified car had a paw-activated accelerator pedal and brakes near the steering wheels.
