A Couple Had A Terrible Dinner Experience – So They Leave Waiter A Huge Tip. WHAT?

When Mackenzie and Stephen Schultz went out for their 6th wedding anniversary, they chose a sushi diner in their local area. Apparently, nobody realized it was their special night and it was even 20 minutes before they even got water! They then waited 40 more minutes for the appetizer.

When somebody has a dining experience such as this, they usually leave a small tip or speak to the manager. This couple decided to do neither of those and they tipped the waiter well above average. They also left a note to go along with the tip.

In a Facebook post, Mackenzie said that there was a reason for the big tip. “It was very obvious that the issue was being short staffed, not the server,” she wrote. “He was running around like crazy and never acted annoyed with the table.”

They decided to leave him a $100 tip on a $66 bill.

“We’ve both been in your shoes. Paying it forward,” the note on the 2014 receipt read.

The generosity of this couple did not go unnoticed. A number of news outlets picked up on what they did and you can see the news clip below.
