All of us have found ourselves in the uncomfortable situation where a coworker comes up to us and asks us to take part in a fundraising event. They are usually trying to sell something for their children’s school, whether it be chocolate, cookies or any other type of treat. Many of us find it to be rather unpleasant, but it happens all the time.
Rather than beating around the bush and making people feel uncomfortable about supporting such fundraisers, one school has decided to cut out the fluff and get right to the point. The PTA fundraising forms are nothing short of awesome! All you need to do is check the appropriate box, write a check and you are all done.
This may seem funny, but I’m sure that many parents would much rather fork over a few dollars than have to approach all of their coworkers and friends to make a sale. Perhaps more school systems should adopt this approach.
