A Dog Was Grieving But Then A Cute White Duck Waddles Into His Heart

Grieving is one of the deepest emotions that we can experience. It is a profound sense of loss that can last for weeks, months or even a lifetime. In many cases, we never truly get over grieving, we simply learn to move on with our lives.

As you are about to see, people are not the only ones who are affected by grieving, animals can also be affected by it as well. This dog, named George, had lost his longtime companion. He found happiness again, however, when a new friend waddled into his life.

This duck, Donald, seem to come out of nowhere but he was exactly what George needed to experience happiness again.

You can see their story through pictures below.

1

George lost his partner, Blackie, after 12 years of being together. He was overwhelmed with grief and his owner wondered if he would survive the heartbreak.

2

Suddenly, a stranger showed up on the porch. It was this amazing duck, who waddled over and cozied into George.

3

“It is strange for a duck to just appear at our house and be attached to your dog, and even more strangely, the anniversary week of Blackie’s passing,” wrote Litton on Facebook.

4

It turned out that the duck was exactly what George needed. They became so close that the duck was invited inside and George gave him his bed.

5

George’s mood lightened in a short amount of time now that he had found a new best friend. He just needed someone by his side when he went through the rough patch and Donald filled the void.

6

These two animals could not be any more different but they were there for each other when necessary.

“We have no idea where this duck came from, but he sure does love George, and since the duck has arrived, George has not cried one time,” Litton explained on Facebook.

7

Sometimes it helps to have a special friend when we need to heal.
