This Utility Worker Went Above And Beyond When He Dove Into A Water Hole To Repair A Broken Line

When most utility workers have the opportunity to get some overtime hours, they jump at the chance. That was the case with Jimmy Cox, and he thought he was just going to jump out of the truck, do the job and drive away. He had no idea that his appearance on the job would result in so much media attention.

There was a broken water line and Cox did what they normally do in order to fix the problem before it gets worse. He dove head deep into the muddy puddle so that he could get to the problem at the bottom of the hole.

Andrea Adams, the woman who took the picture from her driveway, was absolutely floored by his dedication to the job. She shared it online and it instantly went viral.

For Cox, it is just another day on the job. He doesn’t see it as being exceptional, it’s just something that was necessary to get the job done.
