If you haven’t heard the story of Kabang, the hero dog from the Philippines, then it’s time you should.
In December 2011, Kabang lost its snout after saving two girls, who were then crossing the street and did not see a motorcycle coming.
The brave dog jumped on the motorcycle, causing the girls to receive minor injuries only. However, the dog’s upper snout was crushed.
Kabang’s story went viral worldwide, and donations poured in. She underwent a successful surgery in the US in October 2012.
Kabang was reunited with her owner, Rudy Bunggal in June 2013.
