Man Writes Song for Wife of 73 Years

Fred Stobaugh, 96, wrote an emotional song for his wife, Lorraine. Below is the official music video documentary of his song, “Oh Sweet Lorraine.”

Stobaugh, a retired truck driver from Peoria, Illinois, has no musical background whatsoever. But this did not stop him from joining a singer/songwriter contest held by Green Shoe Studio, a local music studio.

On June 26, 2013, they were supposed to celebrate their 73rd wedding anniversary. Unfortunately, Lorraine passed away two months earlier. The couple married in 1940 and they have three daughters.

What a beautiful love story!
