Girl Signs Songs for Deaf Parents

An adorable 5-year kindergarten girl used sign language while singing Christmas carols for a holiday concert, while her deaf parents were watching.

In December 2013, Lori Koch, Claire’s deaf mother, uploaded the heartwarming YouTube video. She can read lips, speak, and sign, but her husband can only use sign language.

Claire Koch and her classmates performed in their school concert in Clearwater, Florida. The children sang S-A-N-T-A, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, and Jingle Bells.

And while the other kids used generic hand motions, Claire used sign language to convey the song to her parents.
