Some of us enjoy it when company shows up unexpectedly but others may wish that they had more time to prepare. That is true of human company but sometimes, we may have company that takes on other forms. For example, cats may come by for a snack in the middle of the day or at night, you may have some unusual and unexpected visitors.
For the man in this story, he had unexpected visitors in the form of a toad. He showed up every night on his stoop and when toads come calling, there is only one thing that you can do; you make them little hats. Obviously, you are living in a fairytale when toads show up every day, so why not make a real fairytale out of it? That is what happened when Chris Newsom was visited nightly by a toad.
He lived under the flowers in his flower bed and, at night, he would come on the porch to eat bugs.
The toad was named Mr. Toad, because, what else would you name a toad? When his friend’s child had lost a pet toad, he appreciated the fact that Mr. toad was coming to visit him every night. He would send pictures to the young lad to make sure he knew he was alive and well.
It wasn’t long before he started making little hats for Mr. toad to cheer him up. All the children would laugh when they saw the toad with a hat on. It was even adults who appreciated it, and they loved the pictures so he started sharing them on Imgur
“Foam paper seemed like a toad friendly material,” Newsome said.
Ta-da! A dapper Mr. Toad.
He even made a gif so everyone knew Mr. toad didn’t mind the hat.
But Newsome wasn’t satisfied with just a plain hat.
“Turn that hat into a toad pimp hat,” Newsome said on Imgur.
