Signs Restaurant opened in July 2014, but has already gained a lot of attraction. This is because all of their waiters are deaf. But that’s not all; customers are also encouraged to learn sign language.
Located in Toronto, Canada, restaurant owner Anjan Manikumar, who is not deaf, says he got this idea when he was still working as a server.
He said he encountered a deaf customer finding difficult placing an order.
At Signs Restaurant, menus have helpful graphics so that customers can “talk” to the deaf waiters.
