If there’s one thing that many of us struggle with on a regular basis, it’s fighting the numbers that we see on the scale. Sometimes we may try our best to diet and exercise but regardless of our efforts, they seem to be sabotaged before we ever get started. It seems as if it is a never-ending cycle, but somebody wants you to know that those numbers don’t mean what you think they mean.
On Saturday, Pink uploaded a selfie of herself in the gym and it has a caption that is taking many people by surprise and certainly is causing a lot of smiles. She wants women to stop obsessing over their weight because it is really only numbers on the scale. Rather than looking at it as the end-all when it comes to our health and weight loss efforts, it really is just a matter of realizing it is nothing more than BS.
Pink has worked hard to get back her figure after giving birth to her second child in December. Like us, she also has fitness goals but she realizes that it is not the numbers on the scale that really make a difference in your health. She has committed herself to getting in shape and perhaps you have made a commitment as well. If that is the case, simply take her advice and ignore the scale.
“Would you believe I’m 160 pounds and 5’3″? By ‘regular standards’ that makes me obese. I know I’m not at my goal or anywhere near it after Baby 2 but dammit I don’t feel obese. The only thing I’m feeling is myself. Stay off that scale ladies!”
Since Pink posted this picture, it has well over 230,000 likes and many comments from those who are in agreement with her anti-scale methods.
Sometimes, you just have to forget about the numbers and live your life happy!
