Young Child Goes Through 42 Rounds Of Cancer And The Hospital Staff Send Him Off With A Song

Cancer is a problem that affects us all in some way or another. For some of us, it affects us directly and for others, it may be a family member or friend that is stricken.

The unfortunate reality about cancer is that, at times, even children can be affected directly. That can be difficult to see and it’s a tragedy, regardless of the age but for children, it is especially difficult.

That is where a young boy named Henry came in. In 2020, he was diagnosed with leukemia and for 865 days, he endured 42 rounds of chemotherapy. After those days passed, however, they said that he was cancer free.

Little Wishes, an organization at the Children’s Hospital at Erlanger in Chattanooga, Tennessee decided that it was just too much of an event to let go unannounced. They got together to have a celebration, and a video was taken that really is touching hearts.

In the video, you can see Henry jumping for joy with the biggest smile on his face. The hospital staff is cheering him on, clapping, and throwing gold confetti. He is even wearing a ‘cancer-free’ T-shirt.

The staff was singing: “No more chemo for you, no more chemo for you” and there was a banner that said, SURVIVOR. Many of the people who were taking part in the event were taking videos of their own because Henry was so happy.

Suddenly, you get to see the mother in the scene who is wiping tears of joy from her face. It has undoubtedly been a struggle that nobody wanted to go through, but they were happy it was over.

Henry gets a big hug and a round of applause and he is just overly excited. The staff throws confetti and he goes over to ring the bell against the wall. There is a list of cancer survivors in that area.

In the end, you can see Henry sweeping up the confetti and he still has a big smile on his face. He then signed the wall, making his mark as he ends what was undoubtedly the most difficult time of his family’s life.

You can see it for yourself in this video:
