Kalamazoo Public Safety Officer Jason Gates is now being hailed a hero cop. Below is the video of his heroic act caught by his police car’s dashboard camera.
Officer Gates saw a woman driving her van, beating the red light. He asked her to pull over, and was about to give her a ticket when he noticed that she was choking.
The cop immediately got her out of the car and performed the Heimlich maneuver. The food was dislodged, and the unidentified woman was saved. She cried and thanked him.
Hero cop, indeed!
