Life can be difficult when you are a new mother, especially when you have twins to care for. When those twins are identical, some mothers may even struggle to tell them apart.
Nobody knows the struggles of telling twins apart better than Sofi Rodriguez. As a mother of identical twins, she sometimes has difficulty telling them apart because they look so much alike.
In order to tell the boys apart, she would try various things, including using a colored ribbon that was attached to one of the baby’s wrists. This worked until the ribbon was removed one night while they were sleeping and suddenly, she couldn’t tell them apart again.
Rodriguez needed a solution, so she got her babies dressed and took the six week old children to a police station. She wanted the police to fingerprint them because she couldn’t tell which baby was which.
Mañana tengo que ir a la policía para que le tomen la huella digital a mis gemelos y me digan cuál es cuál🤦🏽♀️, el premio a la madre del año me gane.

Sofi posted her strange decision on Twitter, saying that she felt like the ‘Mother of the Year’. That being said, it’s interesting that she knew that she needed help and she decided to take it to the extreme.
Interestingly, you can tell the children apart in pictures but when you look at them in person, it’s not so easy to tell. Even the police had a struggle telling them apart. It got so bad that seeing may have accidentally vaccinated one of the babies twice!
Hoy los logro diferenciar por la vacuna, pero no sé cuál es cuál y necesito saberlo para seguir sus historias clínicas. En las fotos parecen distintos pero es porque salen de diferentes ángulos o les da distinta la luz , en persona son iguales.

The mother of two eventually turned to Argentina’s National Registry of Persons for clarification as to the identity of her sons. That organization is tasked with the ‘Registration and identification of persons of visible existence residing in the Argentine territory or Argentine jurisdiction and all Argentines regardless of where they are domiciled, by registering their most important records from birth and through the different stages of his life, those who will keep permanently updated.’
On March 1, they finally came through with the certification identifying the babies. At that point, the blue ribbon was placed on one of their wrists and we hope that it is a done deal at this point.
