Helen Keller, Anne Sullivan, Rare 1930 Footage

Below is a rare 1930 footage where Anne Sullivan explains how she taught Helen Keller to speak. As we all know, Helen Keller is an American author, political activist, and became a world-famous speaker. She is the first deafblind person to finish a degree, Bachelor of Arts.

Anne Sullivan started to teach Keller in March 1887, and became her companion for 49 years. Sullivan died in 1936, while Keller is holding her hand. Watch what Keller said on the last part of the Vitaphone newsreel video. Truly inspiring!
