Anybody who has a pet will readily tell you that they have an awesome sense of humour. In fact, it is one of the things that we adore about animals most, because they keep us entertained and laughing. Of course, pet owners aren’t the only ones to recognise the humour in wildlife and that is why the Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards take place on an annual basis. It is absolutely amazing what is able to be caught in these pictures.
Part of the event is focusing on the laughter that is possible when animals are involved. They also want to show us that conservation is possible, and they work together with the Born Free Foundation, to help save animal lives and habitat.
This particular contest is funded by 2 passionate wildlife photographers. It may be a bit of an unusual competition, but the silliness that is able to be captured in pictures shows us a side of wildlife that we don’t always get to see.
