Deputies Get A Frantic Call About A Home Intruder But They Can’t Stop Laughing At The Guilty Canine

A local Sheriff’s office received an emergency phone call, one that they received all too often. A man was concerned that somebody had broken into his house at night. He started hearing strange noises inside of the home and his dogs were barking, so he locked them all together in a room to keep them out of harm’s way.

When the deputies arrived at the home, they started searching for signs of a break-in. Since it was nighttime, they were looking around with their flashlight and when they pointed it up to the roof, they spotted the intruder.

You can see the story through images below.

Police officers are no stranger to emergency phone calls. This particular night was no exception. It started when a young man called the Sheriff’s Department in a panic.

2

The caller was only 18 years old when his dog started barking at home. He could tell that something wasn’t quite as it should be and he was sure that someone had broken into his home.

When strange noises started to occur, he locked himself away with the dogs and called 911. When police officers arrived on the scene, some went into the home and others stayed outside.

While they were on the front lawn, one police officer heard scratching outside of the home. He pointed his flashlight to the skylight and that is when all bets were off and the police officers started laughing.

4

The home intruder was actually a goofy great Dane. The giant dog had popped his head out of skylight when the deputy shined his light on the roof. The dog was a part of the household but the homeowner had not recognised he was missing when the panic was going on.

5

After the deputies dropped their guard, they started piecing things together. Apparently, the great Dane went upstairs because he wanted to enjoy popping his head out through the skylight and watching the cars go by. The smaller dogs were barking because they couldn’t get to their canine sibling.

6

The police officers say they have seen a lot of unusual things but this one was “pretty abnormal.”
