Back in June 2010, Colorado hiker Zak Anderegg saw a puppy while exploring from 350 feet down under a canyon in Arizona. Below is the video of his very heartwarming rescue to the dog, which he named Riley.
The poor puppy was thin and starving for food. It has no broken bones, suggesting that someone intentionally left the dog in the pothole.
Without hesitation, Zak rescued the abandoned puppy and immediately brought it to an animal hospital.
Later, he wrote a book titled “Rescuing Riley, Saving Myself.”
Man is dog’s best friend.
