Most of us would never think about taking advantage of an elderly person, regardless of whether they were our grandmother or not. Unfortunately, that isn’t always the case and there are some unscrupulous individuals out there who would take any opportunity to take advantage of this type of situation.
That doesn’t mean, however, that they are going to get away with it and grandmothers certainly do have a way of taking care of themselves. It is wise not to underestimate anyone, especially a grandmother who has years of experience.

Piper Dumitru, Florin Geblescu, and Felix Stoica made just such a mistake but it is one they will not make again. After they get out of jail, that is.
Winfred Peel, a 77-year-old British grandmother stopped by an ATM when she was out for the day. Things then got interesting.
While she was caring for her transaction, she saw that someone was on her right. Before she knew what was happening, he pushed her and knocked her off balance.
She then realised that there was another man behind her and something snapped inside of her.
She had seen both of these men earlier coming out of the bank.
The second man reached over and attempted to withdraw £200. They were thieves!
As the second man tried to get the withdrawal, Peel reached over and snagged him by the collar and banged his head into the ATM.
She got in 3 good hits before they took off running. She reported the incident and they were picked up a short time later.

They were identified as the thieves because of the man’s bloodied face after he had gotten it smashed into the ATM by Peel. They were charged and are now serving jail time, which surprised Peel, who thought that they would just get a stern talking to.
Peel said that the incident will not be turning her into a vigilante. “They did not care about how this would affect me. I would definitely say this has changed my life, I will never have the confidence I once did. I only hope my confidence returns.”
She should be confident in what she is able to do, and she certainly left a mark on these men. She grew up with some roughhousing brothers, and it made her a force to be reckoned with.
