Fans of Harry Styles are now comparing the singer to Freddie Mercury, the iconic frontman of the legendary rock band Queen, following a fantastic performance at London’s Wembley Stadium. During the concert, the 28-year-old “Watermelon Sugar” singer honored Mercury by recreating one of his most iconic moments during a crowd sing-along session.

One of the most memorable scenes from Queen’s groundbreaking 1985 Live Aid performance is when the charismatic frontman invited the audience to join in while conducting a few casual vocal exercises. The legendary superstar was sipping a cup of water while causally belting out some incredible notes as the crowd did their best to follow along.

Over 37 years later, Harry Style’s replicated the moment on the same stage by singing “ah-oh” at the crowd as they sang back. Dressed in a mirrored vest with red hearts and white jeans, the former One Direction member showed off his impressive vocal range while doing his best Mercury impression as his fans ate up every moment.

The moment prompted many of his fans even to draw comparisons between Styles and Mercury, and it wasn’t long before social media was buzzing with discussions.

Meanwhile, the resemblance between the two stars was uncanny for many fans.

They even went as far to suggest that Styles was the reincarnation of Mercury, who died in 1991 following a battle with AIDS.

However, not everyone loved the comparisons, particularly older Queen fans. And they made it perfectly clear on social media that they did not think Styles was even in the same universe as the legendary Queen frontman.
