Suicide is always a tragic situation but when it happens to someone that we are familiar with, it becomes a personal tragedy.
When Jim Carrey’s ex-girlfriend was found with a bottle of pills and a suicide note, it really touched many of us because we feel so close to Jim Carrey.
His ex-girlfriend, Cathriona White, was found by the LAPD. In the suicide note that was left at the scene, it mentioned the breakup with Jim Carrey.
Carrey didn’t wait long to speak out about the suicide, and he released the following statement…
“I am shocked and deeply saddened by the passing of my sweet Cathriona. She was a truly kind and delicate Irish flower, too sensitive for this soil, to whom loving and being loved was all that sparkled. My heart goes out to her family and friends and to everyone who loved and cared about her. We have all been hit with a lightning bolt.”
Cathriona White was a makeup artist who hailed from Ireland but had since moved to the United States. Like many people, she used social media to keep in touch with friends and family. Her last tweet is touching, considering the circumstances.
