Fire Department Comes To The Rescue Of Police Stuck In An Elevator

Fireman are trained to help others when they get in a wide variety of problems. Most of us probably think of them rushing to a house fire, and although that may be one of their jobs, it isn’t the only thing they do. They are also on scene to help others who are stuck or suffering in a number of ways, from car accidents to helping kittens stuck in a tree.

It seems as if they are also there to help people who have been stuck in an elevator as well. That was the experience of the Kansas City Police Department. Their tactical team exceeded the weight limit in an elevator at the police academy. It left the lift stuck between floors.

In order to escape their predicament, they were forced to call their fiercest rivals: The Kansas City Fire Department.

A police representative stated that these two departments may have a long standing tradition of making fun of each other but they will always have the other’s back. The rep had the following to say:

Public safety is a true brotherhood in our city. But we’ll make jokes about each other any chance we get.

I think the fireman now have the upper hand. I wonder what the police will do.
