One of the more frustrating situations that a parent may run into is when they are at the store and their child decides to throw a fit. It is enough to make you want to run screaming out of the store, and it is a situation that all too many of us have to face in life from time to time.
It isn’t enough that we have to go into the store with all of the supplies that we could possibly need. We have a nappy bag slung over our shoulder, our regular purse, the baby, a stroller and any other apparatus that you can possibly imagine. That isn’t even to mention the fact that stores tend to be overstimulating to the child, leading to the additional possibility for problems.
Lauren Walker is a mother who was having one of those difficult trips to the store with her son, Alastair Findlay. She was shopping with him along with her mother at a local supermarket.
Sometimes even two adults are not enough to handle the children, especially when they are a restless and upset baby. Alastair was fussy but it was then that a total stranger showed up to help comfort him.
An employee of the store, Mubarak Ahmad, noticed how the mother was trying to balance everything and he began cheerfully talking to the baby.
The attention that he was giving the baby helped Walker and her mother to focus on their shopping trip. The clerk even had to attend to other duties besides working with this young customer.
When Alastair got upset again, Walker was almost ready to abandon her cart and the store as well. More than likely, every parent was thinking of doing the same thing.
It was then that Alastair saw Ahmad behind the checkout counter and he was having the best conversation with her young son. You can see him in action in this video:

He offered to hold the baby as he scanned their items. Walker wrote on Facebook, “He smiled and squealed the full way through it because he was having so much fun! This man made my shopping experience so much easier and the fact he took time with my son as well was great.”
Ahmad certainly does have some skills, not only when it comes to running the cash register but when it comes to take care of the customers as well.
