Princess Diana lived a life that touched millions of people worldwide. She was loved by all, not only for her charitable acts but for her smile, her kind ways and the mark she left on humanity.
Prince Charles married Diana when she was only 20. The world watched as their fairytale wedding unfolded in 1981. In November of that year, the announcement came out that Diana was pregnant with their first child, William Arthur Phillip Lewis. Prince William went with Diana on a tour of New Zealand and Australia, despite criticism. She later gave birth to Henry Charles Albert David in 1984.
Diana, who was where heir apparent of Queen Elizabeth II, divorced Charles in 1996. They had had some difficulties in their marriage, including the relationship Charles had with Camellia Parker Bowles.
It was 19 years ago, on August 31, 1997, that the world again watched as Diana was in the news. It wasn’t a wedding or a tour this time, it was a car accident in Paris that took her life. Her funeral was watched by millions of people worldwide on television.
