Bill Gates completes the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, as part of raising awareness about Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).
The 58-year old Microsoft co-founder accepted the challenge of Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, who did the same earlier. Gates then nominates Elon Musk, Ryan Seacrest and TED’s Chris Anderson.
Other personalities who participated in the challenge include Ethel Kennedy, Jimmy Fallon, Justin Timberlake, and Larry Page. US President Barack Obama declined the challenge, and donated $100 instead.
The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge was popularized in the United States in July 2014.
