When it comes to selfies, most ladies tend to go out of their way to look their very best, ensuring their makeup is done just right. However, there is a growing movement within the body positivity community in which more women take selfies without makeup to show off their natural beauty.
One of the biggest supporters of this movement is Jennifer Aniston. The 53-year-old actress has become a symbol and one of many Hollywood women over 50 who continue to amaze fans with their incredible beauty.
And while Aniston still wears makeup when the occasion calls for it, she’s been sharing more pictures of herself without makeup.
These pictures have served as more than just another opportunity to appreciate her good looks, but also as a way to encourage other women to love themselves no matter their age.
On July 26, Aniston posted two makeup-free selfies on Instagram showing her natural blonde hair without any kind of treatment and her naturally beautiful face, sans any artificial enhancements.
The result of these honest and very simple photographic statements has been positive, as thousands of fans have praised the actress for encouraging others to let their natural selves shine through.
Women are often judged and criticized for not looking a certain way while in public. In fact, many women would not be able to keep their jobs without wearing makeup. If you really think about that, it should make you angry, right?
However, as a society, we’ve just sort of naturally accepted this huge double standard when it comes to men and women.
Back in January, the Friends star amazed fans by showing off a very relaxed look taken at home, showing her without makeup and her hair in all its natural, wavy, frizzy glory. In the caption, she wrote: “Okay, Humidity…Let’s go…”
