Melvyn Amrine of Little Rock, Arkansas always buys flowers for his wife Doris every Mother’s Day since they got married, 60 years ago.
Now, 83, Melvyn has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in 2011. He even hardly remembers their home address.
One day, he went missing and Doris was worried. She immediately reported it to the police.
Eventually, police found Melvyn two miles away from home.
Melvyn knew the next day was Mother’s Day, and he was looking for a store to buy flowers.
Our mind forgets, but our heart always remembers.
