Millennials Share Pictures From Their Youth And They All Stump Everyone From Generation Z

Every generation has a name, from the baby boomers all the way to the most current crop of babies. That being said, there is a generation gap that exists from one group to another. At times, it is easy to recognize those differences and at other times, they might not be so easy to spot. That is even true if you are not all that old, such as those who are Millennials.

Millennials are a group of people who were born between 1981 and 1996. They are still active and living the good life but when they share pictures from their childhood, they sometimes feel as if they are a million years old. How could that be, considering that the oldest members of that generation are not yet 40 years old? Quite simply, it is because the younger generation is not living in the same time and anything that is nostalgic for Millennials is outdated and perhaps even unknown to those who were born between 1997 and 2015, Generation Z.

Recently, some Millenials are admitting that they feel very old on Social Media. After sharing pictures of common items from their youth, those of the newer generations are not understanding what they are seeing.

That is true of the Millenials but could you imagine how much more it is true for Generation X and the baby boomers? Each of those generations tends to look at the newer generation as if they are not going to survive and they look at the older generation as if they are living in a time warp.

Imagine, Millenials had Polaroid cameras, cassette players, 3MB floppy discs, super big cell phones, Word Perfect and 386 computers. The newer generation had digital cameras, downloadable music, CDs and DVDs, smartphones and all of the latest technology.

Imagine how you would feel if you were suddenly transported back in time to the technology of 20 or 30 years ago. Even if it was part of your youth, you probably would have a difficult time adjusting. Now, imagine how difficult it would be for anyone who never even saw that technology before.

This was something that came to the attention of Twitter users recently when Millennials decided to share pictures of now-obsolete items. The younger generation was amazed but, quite simply, they didn’t have a clue what they were seeing.

I asked my six-year-old if he knew what this is. He said it is a tape player. And then he asked “how do you turn it on?” @MrTommyLand? 😂🤘#nocassettemoji pic.twitter.com/FsYq80vZ1f
