Meet Tao Porchon-Lynch, the world’s oldest yoga teacher. She entered the Guinness Book of World Records in 2012 when she was 93 years old.
Born on August 13, 1918 in Pondicherry, India, Porchon-Lynch was once a model, a competitive ballroom dancer, and an actress.
She started practicing yoga when she was 8, and found herself becoming more serious at it. She started to teach yoga in 1967.
Tao Porchon-Lynch met Gandhi (twice), Ernest Hemingway, Martin Luther King, Jr., and the Dalai Lama.
Despite having a hip replacement, she loves to wear high heels.
