Lincolnshire Poster Campaign Is Aiming At Sexual Violence

When you are out on a date, it can be difficult to know what type of situation you’re going to run into. That is especially true if you have been talking to the person online and you actually decide to meet in person. Not only can it be an unusual situation, there are times when it can be frightening or it could even turn downright scary. Fortunately, there is something that can be done to help ease the tension.

A poster campaign that is gaining ground in Lincolnshire in the UK is attempting to protect those who meet up with someone and end up feeling uncomfortable or perhaps even threatened by the situation in front of them. The posters, quite simply, ask the individual to go to the bar and “ask for Angela.” It is the signal that the staff at the pub will understand and they know to get them out of the situation.

The poster reads:

The poster also provides the phone number for the rape prevention hotline.
