The 93-year-old widow of the late Hollywood legend Sir Sean Connery, Micheline Roquebrune, recently made headlines after posing in a bikini with her 26-year-old granddaughter, socialite Saskia Connery.
The pair flaunted their incredible figures in a series of photos taken in the Bahamas as the ladies sported two-piece bikinis while embracing on a boat. Behind them, you can see the crystal blue waters of a Caribbean island paradise.
“Bahama land or no land,” Saskia captioned the post.
Micheline once resided in the Bahamas on New Providence Island with her late husband before Sean passed away from dementia in 2020.
The couple married in 1975 and had been together for over 45 years.
Many were delighted to see the French-Moroccan painter living her best life after her beloved husband’s death. Followers flooded the comments section praising the older woman for her body positivity.
“Beautiful girls,” one person commented, while another added: “Great pic!! Definitely jealous!!”
“Just breaking the Internet over here,” a third wrote.
Micheline is said to have first met the James Bond star at a golf tournament in 1970 after their eyes met across a dinner table. During this time, Connery was stilled married to his first wife, Australian actress Diane Cilento. Meanwhile, Micheline had been twice divorced.
It’s said the pair had an instant and very intense connection. Their relationship would last for over four decades, even surviving Conery’s high-profile affair with singer Lynsey de Paul.
After his passing at age 90, Micheline talked about life without her soulmate, admitting that it was “very hard” to be without her beloved husband.
“He was gorgeous and we had a wonderful life together. He was a model of a man,” she said in an interview with the Daily Mail.
“At least he died in his sleep and it was just so peaceful. I was with him all the time and he just slipped away. It was what he wanted,” she added.
