Garner also noted that procedures such as fillers that promote everlasting youth are not something she would recommend and said that people just needed to “look in the mirror less.”

She said:

“My beauty advice is always the same: Look in the mirror less, obsess less, and look at the rest of the world to see what you could be using your time for instead.

“We all look at our faces more than people used to, and it doesn’t do you any good. You obsess over changes or how to fix something on your face.”

The actress continued: “My advice is to look at the mirror less and be cautious when it comes to injecting anything into your face. Be very, very incredibly judicious and wait as absolutely long as possible to add anything.

“Don’t think that you’re 37 and you need to be shooting up your face. You don’t need to wear so much makeup or have such a constant blowout.”

Thoughts concerning her interview were varied as many were skeptical, believing she was being a hypocrite and had undergone or undergone the same treatments she decries. Meanwhile, others praised her for being a body positivity role model.

One critic wrote: “*scratches head* didn’t she have her eyes done?”

Another said: “She gets botox. This chick is worth 80 million from getting a divorce, stop acting like you are a middle-class working mother. I find it so condescending. Women have the right to do what they want. Please be silent!”

A third said alongside a laughing emoji: She’s full of botox.

Needless to say, many also praised the actress for encouraging words for those women who fear aging. One wrote:

“Omg PREACH @TheJenGarner thank you for saying this! couldn’t agree more and this needs to be a much more talked about subject!!! i support this 100000000%!!!!!”

Another added: “This speaks to me as someone who is months away from turning 37.”
