Ask any mother or father and they will tell you, having a child is a life-changing experience. It is also something that most parents would not exchange for anything in the world. Although it is true that children will turn our lives upside down, they also do so in the most wonderful way possible. From the time the children are born, our anticipations for life are certain to change. We may have had some visions of how our life would be in the future, raising the perfect family and having everything go just right.
The unfortunate reality about children, however, is the fact that they can throw you curveballs on almost an ongoing basis. Some of those curveballs may be frustrating but others are simply just a matter of life. Raising children is more than a simple responsibility, it is a long-term project and you need to be in it for the long haul.
