Long-time friend and fellow actor John Travolta paid tribute to Bruce Willis via a touching post on Instagram. The two started in the iconic 1994 Quintin Tarantino film “Pulp Fiction” together but have been friends both on and off-screen for much longer.
They also co-starred in the cult-family classic 1989 movie “Look Who’s Talking” and 1990s “Look Who’s Talking Too.”
This year, millions of fans worldwide were shocked and saddened by the news that Bruce Willis was retiring from acting after a long and legendary career due to a cognitive disease called Aphasia that impacts his memory.
Over the years, the actor has struggled to remember lines, and in his last project needed to use an earpiece to have lines read to him.
In March 2022, Rumor Willis, Bruce’s daughter, announced her father’s retirement. And one of the first people to offer their heartfelt support was his good friend John Travolta, who wrote a touching post about his relationship with the Die Hard actor.
“Bruce and I became good friends when we shared 2 of our biggest hits together, Pulp Fiction and Look Who’s Talking,” Travolta wrote in an Instagram post featuring set photos from the two films. “Years later he said to me, ‘John, I just want you to know that when something good happens to you I feel like it’s happening to me.’ That’s how generous a soul he is. I love you Bruce.”
Following his retirement, other Hollywood legends such as Sylvester Stallone, Sarah Paulson, and M. Night Shyamalan also share their messages of support. Willis starred in Shyamalan’s iconic 1999 film “The Sixth Sense” with Haley Joel Osment.
