People Can’t Stop Starting At The Cutest Sheep In The World

I’ll be the first one to admit that all animals are adorable. From dogs to cats and even cows and snakes (in an icky way), they all have something that attracts us to them.

As is the case with anything we are considering, there are going to be those that are on the top of the world and others that are at the bottom of the list. They all may be cute but, let’s face it, some are cuter than others.

That is why we are here today, to introduce you to the cutest animal on the planet. Some may just call them the cutest breed of sheep but I think they need a bigger pedestal to stand on.

The sheep breed I’m discussing is the Valais Blacknose sheep and they are setting social media on fire. After a now-viral video was posted, people can’t stop watching and once you see it, you will know why.

The sheep is jumping for joy and loving some time with his human companion. Quite honestly, it is something you have to see to appreciate but beware, you will have to watch it twice.

This is the video that started it all.

Now that you’ve seen the video, would you like to know a little more about this adorable breed of sheep? I’m sure you do.

If you wanted to visit the birthplace of the breed, you would have to head to the Valais region of Switzerland. That makes perfect sense because that part of the world is beautiful as well.

They have also been around for about 600 years. That’s quite old in sheep years. Over the years, they did have some errors during breeding and that almost wiped them out but, fortunately, they are doing well today.

In 1962, the breed was officially recognized and they came to the United States in 2016. Interestingly, they had just found their way to the UK about 2 years earlier.

They are perfectly suited for climbing around in the mountains but, make no mistake, they are mostly prised for their wood. It is often used for carpet and felting for the most part.

If you have a blacknose sheep in your care, you will find that they love being around people. The breed is domesticated and downright adorable.

One other thing you will love about the breed is that they tend to hop and look a lot like a stuffed animal
