Mosley was a greyhound who was only four years old, and he was a product of the dog racing industry. He was rescued from that life by Scott Merrihew and his wife, who gave him a happy, loving home. He had become accustomed to the noise of a lot of dogs around him, and he didn’t know how to respond to human love and interaction.
“When we first got him, he had a little separation anxiety and was really protective of his space. It took a lot of patience over the years with him to get him as comfortable as he is with life off the track.”
When Scott’s wife got pregnant, the eight-year-old dog gave her a lot of attention.
“He was a lot more cuddly with my wife towards the end of the pregnancy. He knew something was happening
His initial reaction about Lucas was very interested but knew to keep his distance. He’s been really good with the baby. We currently lock the kitties out of the room at night but Mosley is allowed in.”
