Actor Known For ‘The Full Monty’ Has Died At 75

More than likely, you have seen at least one movie with Tom Wilkinson in it. He is a British actor who has more than 130 acting credits in his lifetime. Unfortunately, he has passed away.

Actor Tom Wilkinson died on December 30 at the age of 75. He is perhaps best known for his acting roles in movies such as The Full Monty, in the Bedroom, the Grand Budapest Hotel, and Michael Clayton. He also recently played in a Disney+ series, ‘The Full Monty.’

The news of his passing was released by his agent in a statement. The agent said: “It is with great sadness that the family of Tom Wilkinson announce that he died suddenly at home on December 30. His wife and family were with him. The family asks for privacy at this time.”

There has been no indication as to the cause of his death.

Wilkinson was only 18 years old when he got started in the entertainment industry when he directed a play. He was given a role on screen in 1986 and became popular in England, but later became famous internationally.

He was nominated for a number of awards, including a BAFTA for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role when he played in The Full Monty.

Over the years, he was nominated for a total of 4 Emmy awards. This included two Emmys in 2008, one in 2003, and another in 2011.

He married his wife, Diana Hardcastle in 1988 and they have two children together. He is survived by her and their children, Alice and Molly.
