The soap operas have really taken a beating in recent months. We seem to have lost so many soap opera stars that it is difficult to account for all of them.
This includes David Gail, who was known for his roles in General Hospital and Port Charles. He also played on Beverly Hills 90210. David was 58 years old when he died.
His death was confirmed by his sister, Katie Colmenares in an Instagram post. She wrote: “There’s barely been even a day in my life when you were not with me by my side.
“Always my wingman always my best friend ready to face anything and anyone w me the bears will never be the same but I will hold you so tight every day in my heart you gorgeous loving amazing fierce human being missing you every second of every day forever there will never be another.”
As of now, no cause of death has been identified and revealed publicly.
Tributes to David Gail began to come out not long after the news of his death was released. This included a tribute by Peter Ferriero, who hosts a rewatch podcast for Beverly Hills 90210. Tribute was also paid in other podcasts, and fans began looking for news immediately.
Unfortunately, this had a negative impact on the podcasters, who had asked people to stop contacting them to get more information because it was not yet showing up on Google.
Ferriero said: “The family will report it at the appropriate time to them. I am sharing what I’ve been told to make sure his fans know what has happened. Thank you.”
David Gail was known for playing Joe Scanlon in Port Charles. He also starred as a fiancé for Shannon Doherty when he played on Beverly Hills 90210. His character’s name was Stuart Carson.
Talented actors entertain us in so many different ways and it is always sad when we lose one of them. We hope that his family finds peace during this difficult time.
