They Put Carrie Fisher’s Ashes In A Giant Prozac Pill

One of the decisions that must be made for many individuals is what to use as an urn when they pass away and are cremated. It may not be something that we consider while we are alive, but if we make the decision to be cremated, it is a choice that must be made by those we leave behind. Sometimes, we may even give some input into what it may be.

When Carrie Fisher passed away, the world was shocked and mourned her death but she found a way to make us all laugh a little. When we discovered that her urn was in fact a giant Prozac pill, we couldn’t help but feel that she was still the same person in death that she was when she was alive.

“Carrie’s favourite possession was a giant Prozac pill that she bought many years ago. A big pill,” Todd said. “She loved it, and it was in her house, and Billie and I felt it was where she’d want to be.” He added, “We couldn’t find anything appropriate. Carrie would like that. It was her favourite thing, and so that’s how you do it. And so they’re together, and they will be together here and in heaven, and we’re OK with that.”

Fisher had a history of mental problems, including addiction and bipolar disorder. In the process, she became an advocate for mental health and also had a sense of humour about it. This is perhaps the most fitting end to someone in that position.
