The Way This Mother Laid Out Her Twin’s Cots Nearly Killed Them- Be Careful You Are Not Making The Same Mistake

The joys of being a parent cannot ever be described. Your kids become your life, and everything you have achieved. And whilst I have never had twins, I can only imagine you feel double the pride at two identical little bundles of fun. I know if I had been lucky enough to have twins I would have done the same clothes, same look thing. I think it is just what mums with twins do. But one of the other things that they do is so dangerous it could result in death. So please read this story and tell your friends to ensure they don’t put their kids at risk.

We all love the nursery to look special and geometric and tidy. Twins don’t like to be apart and so it is only natural that we would place their cots within touching distance of one another. And yet as the mother of twins tells us in this horrific story it was that very setup that nearly cost her the life of one of her twins.

Alison Johnson had put her twins to bed in their separate cots, and luckily enough was doing some chores rather than taking a shower as she normally would, when the kids are napping. This choice actually saved her son’s life. She heard crying and went into the twins room to investigate. There she found her son slowly being strangled to death.

Calen had decided he wanted to get in with him twin Libby and had started climbing across the small gap between the two cots. Unfortunately, his legs and body had slipped between the gap, but his head being slightly bigger was holding him up, and his little arms were desperately trying to extract him from the situation. Alison firmly believes that if she had been in the shower that fateful day, she wouldn’t have heard Calen’s cry for help and he could have died.

It’s not just parents of twins that need to learn about this huge risk, many parents with kids of a similar age put the cots together, so please share this scary story and prevent any unnecessary suffering.
